Leave Facebook Day Countdown to Friday

Leave Facebook Day is the 21st of May (or the 31st if you want a little more time to prepare!)  In honor of this, here are a few suggestions to count down to Friday:

* monday: tell everyone you’re leaving and why - tell the media, tell your friends, tell whoever will listen WHY you’re leaving (and don’t forget to tell us too.)
* tuesday: back up all the contacts you want to keep (here’s one user’s suggestions on ways to do this)
* wednesday: delete all your content, photos, everything
* thursday: write your FB suicide note. Let people know you won’t be around any more and where they can find you now.
* friday: DELETE YOUR FACEBOOK! And let us know you’ve cut ties. Humming the theme from The Great Escape is optional.
* saturday: start the first day of your FB-free life. (if you need moral support, we’re here!)
* Friday, 4th of June - two weeks after requesting a delete, your account officially is “deleted” by FB.
